The Show
For over 12 years now, The Williams and Hyatt Show has been Lubbockâs home for great sports talk and entertainment fun. Hosted by long-time voice of the Lady Raiders Ryan Hyatt and Lubbock Avalanche-Journal sports columnists and Tech football beat writer Don Williams, the show is about everything that excites West Texans.
Everyday brings new topics to The Williams and Hyatt Show. Every Monday we take your good, bad, and ugly from over the weekend…we call it GBU Monday. On Tuesday we bring that classic FM Rock theme to the show with 2 for Tuesdays. For example…Who are the 2 best QB’s in NFL History? Wednesdays we take Midweek Predictions and on Thursdays we go beyond sports with a Cultural Index question. On Fridays we wrap up the week by finding out who you’d like to crack open a cold on for. We also take your weekend Trifecta’s and give you a Friday Pop Quiz. During NASCAR season starting at 6PM we have the NASCAR Driver Draft. Those are just a few things you’ll hear on The Williams and Hyatt Show weekdays 4-7PM on SportsRadio 1340am Lubbock.

Mixed feelings regarding the state to Tech baseball. I agree with Hyatt’s points regarding the future of Hayes. I do think the time has come for him, and he may already be contiplating in privately, that a retirement would be a graceful exit for him. I really do not think it matters if it is in 07 or 08 because probably not too much will change in how the team performs.
We were all giddy in the mid to late 90’s with Tech’s continual success and that success has spoiled us. I am not an “Off with their heads” kinda guy at all and I think most of the comments made on the radio from “fans” are inane (not insane, but that can apply for some of those Lifers) at best.
I enjoy the show as I have since the begiinging and I cannot phathom the patience it must take to listen to morons for 3 hours each weekday.
Adios y Pup’n Taco!

Ryan, Question about the Lady Raiders…for whom do you think Maddy Brown will sub? Whew, avoided ending that sentence in one of those nasty prepositions. Greetings from armadilloville, Rex
