NASCAR PREDICTIONS FOR RICHMOND

Man, what a great track and what a great night of racing we’ve got coming up later this evening at Richmond. If only I could be there . . .

This one tonight is gonna belong to the young ( or youngish ) guns I think. I hate to predict doubles, but I think Denny Hamlin is going to get it done tonight. Marty Smith was just talking about him on ESPN and retold how close he came to running out of money and not getting a shot before Joe Gibbs Racing called up. It’s just the perfect script for him to get the win close to home and continue to make his climb to the best driver on the circuit.

I want to pick Dale Jr. for a top three but can’t do it this week. I know he’s got the chance to be great here and I want to see what he looks like on this track with Hendrick stuff, but I just got a feeling it’s one of those nights where he and Tony spend a lot of time griping at each other.

Ok, here’s our Top Three for Richomnd:

3. Kasey Kahne
